Hello! I know, I know! It has been quite a while since I have written. I am sorry. I plan to do better this season, it is part of my New Season's Resolutions. As farmer's we too have things we want to do better and be better at each year and I call them our New Season's Resolution. One of them is to be a much much better farm journalist right here on the website. To post more pictures (even if they aren't spectacular) and to write at least every other day to let our community know what is going on at the farm. We will also be posting on the web what we will have at our various markets and have a better web showing of recipes, storage tips, and neat veggie facts for our community. I am looking forward to it as a way to be better connected with the families we are feeding and to communicate more about our lives and passion that we can't always get to at market. A list of some more New Season's Resolutions: -be a calmer more stress free farmer -know that we can't always control everything nor can we do everything all the time -continue to realize the joy in growing good food for our community -be committed to doing good work always -continue to increase the farm's sustainability in all ways possible -be a more adventurous cook! -enjoy the spectacular town and area we call home -continue to appreciate the other artisan producers we have here -Have more fun! I am sure there are more and that's the beauty of this farming thing, we get to take a small break each year to reflect on the past year and to look ahead at the year to come. Good things to come! This year we hope to making some big changes at the farm that will help us in many ways to get great food to your table! Stay tuned to the journal in a couple days and I will discuss some new things on the farm this year. As promised I will leave you with a picture! This is your farmers on vacation! We recently spent a splendidly relaxing time on the Central California coast(Monterrey to Point Reyes) bicycling to visit friends, check out other farms, and of course eat good food! |
